Types of furnaces

Heat treatment furnaces are primarily designed for the heat treatment technology of various steels and other metals. They can be chamber-type, car-bottom, bell-type, pit-type, or other special structural designs, including melting metals. The heat treatment can take place in an atmospheric, protective gas, or vacuum furnace. The instrumentation is adapted to the technology, for example, providing a computer connection for data storage purposes.

For firing and heat treatment of various ceramic materials and glass. Our kilns are built with fiber-ceramic panels and a unique insulation system, providing extremely energy-efficient operation. Larger equipment can be equipped with our own developed side cooling system, allowing for relatively quick cooling without damaging the fired product. This reduces firing time and increases productivity.

There are two main types of laboratory furnaces designed to meet even the most unique and specific requirements: 1. with ceramic lining, 2. with fiber-ceramic board lining. Both types can be configured for protective gas or vacuum operation. Instrumentation ranges from the simplest temperature holding design to programmable models with multi-step heating and cooling, including computer connectivity. As an option, a noble metal catalyst post-combustion unit can be added to achieve cleaner exhaust gases.

Our aluminium, bronze, and copper melting furnaces are suitable for accommodating standard-sized crucibles, depending on the specific requirements. The design can be either hydraulically tilting or fixed, depending on the quantity of molten metal and user needs.
